Java/Scala Developer (with Kafka)

About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Java Developer with Kafka to join our dynamic team. As a Java and/or Scala Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing connectors and ensuring the seamless integration of Kafka within our systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java and/or Scala programming, possess in-depth knowledge of Kafka, and demonstrate expertise in working with public cloud systems.

Requirements

• Programming Skills:
  • Proficient in Java and/or Scala, with a proven track record of developing high-quality code.
• Kafka Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including the development of connectors.
• Cloud Systems Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with public cloud systems (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Responsibilities

• Connector Development:
  • Collaborate with engineers embedded in our team to develop robust and efficient Kafka connectors using Kafka Connect.
  • Design and implement solutions to facilitate smooth data flow and communication between different systems.
• Code Optimization:
  • Continuously optimize and enhance Kafka-related code for improved performance and scalability.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging:
  • Identify and address any issues related to Kafka integration, ensuring timely resolution of problems.
• Integration with Cloud Systems:
  • Utilize expertise in public cloud systems (AWS/Azure/GCP) to seamlessly integrate Kafka into our environment.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and contribute to the development of comprehensive solutions.
