GIS Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a part-time freelance consultant with proven fullstack development expertise. The ideal candidate will have strong Android/Java skills along with hands-on experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) integration and offline map technologies. You will play a critical role in advising our teams on best practices for building secure, reliable GIS solutions.

Requirements

• Fullstack Development:Demonstrated success as a fullstack developer with a robust portfolio of projects.
• GIS & Offline Maps:Proven ability in GIS integration, spatial data management, and implementing offline map solutions.
• Security Knowledge:A solid understanding of security best practices and software auditing processes.
• Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving, communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have:

Android Development:Strong proficiency in Android development using Java (or Kotlin) and familiarity with mobile technologies.

Responsibilities

• Consultation & Guidance:Provide expert advice to ensure that our GIS development practices meet industry standards for security and reliability.
• Collaboration:Work closely with Android developers to ensure the accurate processing and visualization of spatial data.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork:Collaborate with various teams to assess system security and propose necessary improvements.
